My road of life

Published by ĸelvιn тan© under on 10:31 PM
This is a post specially about me myself! I guess nobody know what I'd been doing all this time.
This is just an update to let y'all know what I'd been planning and what I would do in my future.
I am majoring in Computer science and I am minoring in English International Language after this term and plan to minor in General Business.

I chose Computer science and General business because I thought it would play a good combo in my life.
Computer science is all about creating a website and also inventing something which means that I am a inventor but if I learn to invent only, how do I earn profit? I need to learn how to sell it which eventually led me to an idea of minoring in General business. Besides, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg is also majoring in Computer science. (sources: Mark Zuckerberg Harvard Years)

I plan to go back to Malaysia on December to prepare myself to serve mission. And I think I would be leaving for my mission next year probably around March - April to a random country to serve as a missionary. I am part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and it is my dream to be able to become a missionary because I think I would learn a lot in my life. So missionary means that, my church would send me to a random country and I would be serving in that country for 2 years. I have to spread the gospel and also convert people into the church.

After 2 years, I plan to apply for Brigham Young Provo, United States to further my study in Computer science and business.

This would take 5 years from now! And I would finish everything in 2016. This is part of my plan and hopefully everything will go smoothly :)

A message to everyone, you need to dare to dream so that it will become reality so it's time for you to plan what you want to be!! Good luck!

The only picture that I can thought of for this post.

One thing I learn in my life is to Always Get Things Done!

Published by ĸelvιn тan© under on 4:54 PM

This week was pretty busy week for me because I am in-charged of the World Fest for my chapter and also Crab Hunting activity. World Fest is about setting up your own booth and then convince the students to join your chapter. Our chapter is Singapore-Malaysia Student Chapter. We use chapter instead of club. We have 38 new members who join our chapter but only 22 paid their membership fees. According to my friends, they said there were too busy on that day but they will pay it in the following week which mean that we will have a huge growth in our chapter.

Allow me to express my gratitude towards those who participate
  • Thanks to Evans for having meeting with me until 3am and always be there whenever I need him.
  • Thanks to Nicholas for providing stove, extra gas and also get some materials from Tamura.
  • Thanks to Beatrice for helping me out to get food from Tamura too and also her idea.
  • Thanks to Kheng for providing the things we need for Crab Hunting.
  • Thanks to everyone who participate and bring their friends
  • Thanks to Singapore-Malaysia Chapter committee member for taking care of the booth, contribute physically, and also for making both this event a successful event.
Sorry if I missed out anyone. The outcome of both activity were really great because we all really did a great job. Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

A flyer that I make for World Fest!

I was relief after both of the event ended but this is not the end instead, I was terribly sick because I do not get enough rest! I had stomachache which I need to go toilet every few hour. I can barely go to the toilet for 6 - 8 times a day which really frustrated me a lot. So, I drank 3 bottle of Evergreen (Sunrider product), the following day, I feel so much better that I do not have to go to the toilet consistently!! Today I went to the cafeteria to eat and after eating the food, I feel like throwing out so I took 2 pack of Vitadophilus (Sunrider product again), and my stomach feel a lot better. Now the only problem I have is cold and headache. My head feels so heavy and I am very cold.

I am still so cool before the Crab Hunting but right after the Crab Hunting,
I feel so sick!

May all of our wish come true!

Kelvin Tan

We found several floating balloons in the ballroom after Esme's wedding. So we decided to get a ladder to get the balloons. And write each of our wishes on the balloon and let it float to the sky. Well, its actually a graduation balloons left by the graduates last Sunday.

I am writing words from my heart.
One of the thing I want to tell her is..
Ready to release the balloons!!
Kinda blur but the balloons is over there!!
Everyone is like so desperate to have a girlfriend/boyfriend or marry after seeing Esme's wedding.
I remember what they wrote in the balloons;
Kheng needs marriage and job.
Merille loves E (remain unknown)
Evans looking for girlfriend

Alright, so I'd been having a week semester break. I'd been watching Link to temptations, a Hong Kong drama. It's kinda interesting because the story is kinda twisted up and it's so confusing sometimes but I am sure you will definitely like it especially for lovers. It is a romance drama and it is all about do not give up on your loved one. Fight till the end for your loved one and do not give up and eventually you will get married!! ♥

Adeline's officially graduating from BYUH

My sister and me!
Congratulations to my sister for officially graduating from Brigham Young University Hawaii.
She's been a really good example to me and my twin sister and she inspires us a lot in our life.
I learnt from her that, as an elder brother of my twin sister, I have to take care of her and inspire her.
I remember we used to quarrel because of small things and we even fought like seriously beating each other. But as time goes by, we all learn to grow up and my elder sister is the one who starts to think maturely first. Well, my mom does play an important role too for counseling us everyday.
Ever since then, I don't remember we argue or fight among each other anymore. One thing my mom always tell my elder sister is to get things done. I didn't really quite understand that time because I was quite playful but now I know what it means to get things done. And I come out with something too, do amazing things.

Second of all, we went to Kaneohe Mall after graduation.

Half-awake when I was sleeping in the bus.
5 years from now. We're going to be professionals!
A programmer, a doctor and an author.
Aloha! (Hello in Hawaii)
Siblings.
I have no idea what this is but it taste good.
Bought it from the red and white truck.
Dinner in a japanese restaurant.
Me with my first fried rice in Hawaii! I seriously miss fried rice now!!

Sending sister off

Siblings again.
All of us sending my sister off.
Checking in
Going for a security check
Passport for the officer.
Luggage scanning.
Along the journey back, we spot 2 rainbow right in front of us.
One of a special things I have ever seen in Hawaii
So pretty.

After sending my sister off to airport, we were on our way back to campus.
This is my first time witnessing 2 rainbow at a time and the rainbow is just in front of us.
That was so cool, my sister got a few shot of it. I would mark it as special things I'd seen in Hawaii!

To my friends who think I would cry on that day,
Unfortunately I did not cry on that day, because I got used to it when I was 12.
My parents had been traveling a lot and I got used to it so it's not a big deal for me.

A little bonus for this post; video

Video specially for BYUH Winter 2011 Malaysia graduates

Published by ĸelvιn тan© under on 1:37 AM

This is the second video that I have really ponder everything in.
But without those who help to record them, this wouldn't be a success video.
So, the credits go to all of us because we work as a team!! And Malaysia BOLEH!!

Story behind this video.

  1. Beatrice and me started the first part of the video on March 31st, 2011 from 9pm - 12pm
  2. Beatrice and me started the second part of the video on April 1st, 2011 from 9pm - 4am
  3. We as in all Malaysians, finalize the final part on April 2nd, 2011 from 1pm - 2pm
  4. And I start to check everything and make sure is everything is good from 2pm - 3pm
Total hour spend on this video: 12 hour

Well, it's kinda tiring but I still love doing it because I know this video is going to bring happiness to everyone. One thing about me is, I am gifted with Macbook Pro and I will use this gift to create things that can make people happy like create video and so forth

The thing that I hate most is, I spend 12 hour working on it and some people who didn't really spend much time on it copy my idea and put it into his/her video. I am not angry. It is a hint to me that I am talented that someone is following my idea. But remember, I only create amazing stuff and amazing stuff requires lots of efforts, we'll see whether you are able to catch up or not!

Anyway, best of luck to the graduates and good luck! And my beloved sister, Adeline Tan!
